Rick Scott visited our beautiful Fort Myers location this past Tuesday. While he was here there was a press conference where he spoke about the economy, current jobs, & job growth in Southwest Florida. Here at Fish Tale Boats, we are proud to be expanding & hiring from the community. Rick Scott said, “Unemployment is down to 4.5 percent, almost a 10-year low, and we’re selling a lot more boats and homes and more people are moving here.”We had a great time giving Rick Scott and his office a tour of our facility.

From The Naples Daily News article:

Since 2011, when Scott took office, Fish Tale has almost doubled its workforce from 21 employees to 41, Fricke said. That number should continue to grow with the new Naples sales center, Fricke said.

“You have a beautiful location,” Scott said, surrounded in a service bay by Fish Tale employees, boats, Yamaha motors and a draped American flag. “I hope you don’t have 41 employees next year. I hope you’ve sold so many boats that you have 100 employees.”

Check out this clip of the press conference. Diane & Travis were presented with the Governor’s Ambassador Business Award.

“We are honored by the Governor’s award and will continue in our service to the local community and families which we employ!” said Travis.
