The biggest Robalo ever built is at Fish Tale Boats in Fort Myers.

The Robalo 317 is reason enough to stop by the Fish Tale dealership on U.S. 41 near the intersection of Briarcliff Road. But there are other new models sure to impress you, too, including the new Robalo 302.

Robalo has a long and storied history. Robalo was founded in 1969 and its first boat was a 19-foot center console saltwater fishing boat, among the first of this type of boat to have an “unsinkable” hull.

Today, Robalo is a premium-quality line of outboard-powered bay boats, center console, dual console and walkaround cabin-style sport fishing boats. Atlanta-based Marine Products Corp., a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange, acquired Robalo in June 2001.

Robalo 317 Dual Console

With a length of 31 feet, the 317 is the largest Robalo. It’s built for the family-minded angler in mind, going above and beyond for comfort.

The 317’s sleek lines and plenty of standard features make it a perfect blend of versatility for both the die-hard fishing enthusiast and the family-minded angler.

Consider the large head compartment located under the helm station complete with storage, a sink, and a toilet. Boaters can access the head compartment from the starboard bow behind a concealed door.

The cabin is accessible from behind the portside helm and features a full fiberglass liner, opening port light, secure rod storage and a sleeping area perfect for the children to escape from the sun or take a nap.

For the fisherman in the family, the 317 is equipped with a huge 50-gallon fish box under the aft seats, rod holders, a 36-quart removable cooler and a 25-gallon cooler and livewell with LED lighting and clear plexiglass lid.

The 317 is available with the latest in innovative features. A large integrated walk-around swim platform and side-entry door makes stepping into and out of the boat a breeze. The helm station features a standard 12-inch glass dash with a 16-inch screen upgrade available. Push-button backlit switches are arranged in highly polished acrylic panels. Stereo remote, power supply and auxiliary stereo inputs are at your fingertips.

The 317 is available with the optional Optimus 360 joystick docking system making maneuvering in tight spaces safe and simple. With standard 600 horsepower from twin fuel-efficient outboard engines, the 317 jumps onto plane and has a top speed that can get you where you want to go in a hurry.

The 317 combines the durability and toughness Robalo is known for with the comfort and luxury of a sport boat. For example, press the button on the Vista-View lounge seat and the dual backrests pivot effortlessly and silently to your optimum backrest position. If you prefer, you can lay completely flat to create the largest sun lounging pad in any dual console on the market.

The open concept seating in the cockpit seats everyone comfortably around a standard removable cockpit table area. Forward port and starboard feature double helm seats on both sides. Throughout the 317 all upholstered areas feature rich, durable accented vinyl.

Robalo 302

If you’re looking for a center console, check out the new 302. Whether you’re trolling with hooks in the water or running through rough seas, Robalo’s new R302 center console flagship sparks an adrenaline rush.

Its unique style, phenomenal overall performance, and dry ride will take you on any fishing adventure. For example, molded backrests located port and starboard lets a passenger sit comfortably facing forward while heading to or from your favorite fishing spot. The backrests also add additional storage and a place for drink holders while not compromising the “fishability” of the bow.

The 302 offers best-in-class features, including two oversized livewells and Yamaha performance and power. For added peace of mind, the 302 combines these features with a Kevlar-reinforced hull with a 10-year limited hull warranty and five-year component warranty.

Come take a close-up look at the Robalo 302 and 317. The boats are on display in Fort Myers at Fish Tale Boats, 15581 South Tamiami Trail, near the corner of U.S. 41 and Briarcliff Road.
