NAPLES, Fla. (Jan. 21, 2019) — Fish Tale Boats, the leading luxury boat dealership in Southwest Florida, is expanding its presence in Collier County at a bigger location where 24 boats will be on display.

The dealership made the announcement at the Naples Boat Show this weekend while unveiling the new Chaparral 300 OSX, a state-of-the-art 30-foot outboard that wowed boat enthusiasts with new features such as swinging helm seats. The show is the largest recreational boat show in the Naples-Marco Island area.

Fish Tale Boats’ new location in Naples is at 2540 Davis Blvd., formerly the site of The Boat Place. The company is moving to the new and bigger location over the holidays from its current dealership at 3105 Davis Boulevard. “Our new location in Naples reflects our commitment to top-notch service for our Collier County clients,” says Travis Fricke, Fish Tale’s vice president of operations.

Fish Tale has been selling boats and providing service to clients from Marco Island to Naples for more than 35 years. Now, thanks to the expanded facility on Davis Boulevard, boat owners will be able to browse the newest Robalo and Chaparral boats on display in a large yard and meet with Fish Tale’s boating experts inside a 2,500-square-foot building.

Fish Tale serves clients from Port Charlotte to Marco Island and in 2017 it opened a new $5 million dealership near the corner of U.S. 41 and Briarcliff Road in Fort Myers. Earlier this year, Fish Tale opened a dealership at Bonita Bay Marina in Bonita Springs.

The new Naples location allows Fish Tale to base a dedicated team of expert technicians to counsel clients about boat maintenance. Sales Associate Michael Conway, a longtime Southwest Florida boating specialist, has been appointed to lead Fish Tale’s Collier expansion.

“We’ve invested in trucks and repair vans with dedicated teams to meet clients wherever their boats are docked,” says Fricke, whose family has owned Fish Tale Boats for more than 20 years. “It’s a fully mobile service that allows our professional technicians to service boats on site or, if necessary, haul them to our state-of-the-art repair facility in Fort Myers.”

The 14,000-square-foot Fort Myers service center includes the latest technology for boat maintenance and repairs, including a hydraulic trailer, forklift and hoist capable of lifting boats as long as 38 feet. The in-house Fish Tale staff includes skilled marine technicians specializing in Yamaha engines, Garmin electronics, air conditioning systems, fiberglass, painting and plumbing.

Fish Tale’s expansion in Collier is further evidence that the marine business in Southwest Florida is robust. “We’ve experienced record sales growth exceeding 40% in the last year and we’re optimistic about the growing demand for the boating lifestyle in Southwest Florida,” says Fricke.
