Fish Tale Boats beat out 253 dealers from around the world to claim the top sales of Robalo boats.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept. 10, 2019) — Southwest Florida-based Fish Tale Boats recently was named the top dealer for Robalo boats, beating out 253 dealers worldwide.

Fish Tale doubled the company’s sales of popular Robalo boats in the last fiscal year, helping to vault it into first place among all dealers globally. “This is a huge accomplishment for our team and is a testament to their devotion to customer service,” says Travis Fricke, vice president of operations for Fish Tale Boats.

Founded in 1969, Robalo is a premium-quality line of outboard-powered bay boats, center console, dual console and walkaround cabin-style sport fishing boats. Robalo boats, part of publicly-traded Marine Products Corp., are among the most popular boats of their class internationally.

“The entire team at Robalo Boats is extremely proud of Fish Tale Boats and their accomplishments,” says Robalo Founder Buck Pegg. “The Fish Tale team is a hard-working group that cares deeply for each customer and is passionate about the boating lifestyle. We are honored to have Fish Tale represent Robalo in Southwest Florida and are proud of their achievement of World’s Largest Robalo Dealer.”

Robalo boats are especially well-suited for Southwest Florida waters. For example, Fricke says Robalo’s 246 Cayman is popular with Southwest Florida boaters because of its versatility for fishing, cruising or waterfront-bar hopping. The 24-foot center console boat handles well offshore, its shallow draft lets boaters easily reach back bays and it can be trailered easily for trips to the Keys.

The Fricke family has owned and operated Fish Tale Boats in Southwest Florida for more than 20 years. The company services boats on site and from its locations at 15581 S. Tamiami Trail in Fort Myers, 2540 Davis Blvd. in Naples and Bonita Bay Marina in Bonita Springs.

“We’ve grown the Robalo brand with our strong focus on customer service and newer locations in Naples and Bonita Springs,” says Fricke. “Southwest Florida boaters appreciate the fact that we have the best in-house technicians to keep their Robalo boats running smoothly.”
