The summer boating season officially begins in May. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida “is known worldwide as a prime boating spot for residents and visitors.” This includes Southwest Florida. Go Boating Florida describes Southwest Florida as prime location to take a boat out on the water with its unique range of salt, brackish, and fresh water, providing boaters with “offshore cruising and fishing, beachfront landings, back-bay and river cruising, and sightseeing charters.”
Whether you want to go fishing or cruising, or go out with the family, you need a location to drop your boat. Below are the locations of the public boat ramps in Southwest Florida that you can easily launch your boat into the beautiful waters our area provides.

Burnt Store Boat Ramp This 4.5-acre boat launch facility provides access to the North West Spreader canal and lake system, as well as Matlacha Pass and the Gulf of Mexico.

Horton Park
Horton Park offers a serene 5-acre saltwater boat launch facility in Cape Coral, FL, providing access to the Gulf of Mexico via the Caloosahatchee River. Rosen Park
Rosen Park in Cape Coral, FL, boasts a spacious saltwater boat launch facility with two 30′ wide x 60′ long ramps and ample trailer and vehicle parking. Additionally, the park features a marina offering 19 wet boat slips, picnic shelters with BBQ pits, restrooms, and a scenic boardwalk along the Chantry Canal for leisurely strolls and boat watching.

Goodland Boating Park
The Goodland Boating Park is a 5.22 acre park on Goodland Bay. Goodland Boating Park provides direct access to the Ten Thousand Islands and to the Gulf of Mexico. Known for its excellent restaurants, Goodland is a great community to enjoy seafood and music!
Located on the Goodland Bay, the park has a two-lane boat launch ramp, ample trailer parking, and wet slips for rent. The park has a covered picnic pavilion with grill, fishing pier and fish cleaning station, and a life jacket loan program.

Bayview Park

Caxambas Boat Park (non-motorized only)
Collier County Parks & Recreation Division announces that the Hurricane Restoration Project for Caxambas Park will begin on
Tuesday, May 28, 2024. The park will be closed until the project is completed.
Caxambas Boat Park opened in March of 2023 for non-motorized paddlecraft, including canoe, kayak, and paddleboard. Park visitors have access to walking, running, or biking trails. They also have the ability to launch non-motorized vessels for recreational, non-commercial purposes. This includes canoeing, kayaking, or paddleboarding.

Cocohatchee River Park (Wiggins Pass Marina)
Cocohatchee River Park is a 7-acre property that provides boaters and visitors alike access to the Gulf of Mexico through the famous Wiggins Pass. It has a larger amount of parking than most boating ramps and has four boat launch lanes, along with paddling trails.
The park is family friend and includes a children’s playground to keep the kids entertained, picnic tables, and an area for fishing as well.

Collier Blvd Ramp
Collier Boulevard Boating Park stands as one of Collier County’s most frequented water access points, conveniently located just north of the Marco Island bridge. With ample boat parking, two ramps for launching water vessels, and easy access to Marco Island and the beloved Snook Inn restaurant, it’s a favorite among boaters. Open year-round from 8 a.m. to sunset, it’s a family-friendly destination with paddling trails information available on-site.

Golden Gate Boat Ramp
Golden Gate Boat Ramp is located behind the Golden Gate Community Park and perfect for those with smaller boats. The park shares a parking lot with the park’s athletic fields, which gives you plenty of space to launch your boat into the beautiful waters of Naples, FL.
Being attached to the Golden Gate Community Park, once you get done on the boat, or before, you can enjoy its amazing amenities, including the aquatic center, fitness center, sports fields, playground, fitness trail, pavilions, and more!

Port of the Islands Marina – Naples
Port of the Islands Marina is every boater’s dream. From direct access to the Gulf of Mexico to being able to cruise the everglades, to even being able to hang out with the manatees, Port of the Islands Marina has it all. It is located just a short drive from Naples and Marco Island is a lot of the times home to wild manatees as well.
Port of the Islands Marina offers live shrimp and fishing charter services, manatee & eco tours, kayak rentals and guided tours, and more. Hungry? You can dine at Angler’s Cove restaurant and bar.

Ann Olesky Park
Ann Olesky Park is located at the end of Lake Trafford Road in Immokalee in rural Collier County. The lake is known for fantastic fishing opportunities and lake water access. Perfect for those with smaller boats.
Olesky Park features a 200-foot pier, boat ramp and access to a 1,500 acre lake, Lake Trafford. In addition to bass, crappie and blue gill, the lake also has an abundant amount of bird wildlife. No swimming is allowed however, because alligators also call Lake Trafford home!

Lee County Boat Ramps
Lee County offers a variety of boat ramps, providing easy access to its stunning waterways, including the Caloosahatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico. Boaters can enjoy convenient amenities and diverse launch points, making Lee County a prime destination for water enthusiasts.
Lovers Key State Park
Lovers Key State Park offers boaters a direct access to Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Trout, redfish, snook, and tarpon are the typical types of fish that fishermen can find in these waters. All fishing must conform to regulations and a fishing license is required to fish.
Boat trailer parking is currently limited, but available at this beautiful park and kayaks and canoes are available for rental as well. You can use the boat ramp at Lovers Key to launch canoes and kayaks as well.
Along with boating, this park features a 2.5-mile beach that was selected as the number four beach in Florida by the Travel Channel. It includes two bridges that you can take a scenic walk over.

Alva Boat Ramp
Alva Boat Ramp is nestled along the Caloosahatchee River, offering boaters and paddlers access to the Calusa Blueway and the lesser-known creeks of Southwest Florida. Close in proximity to the ramp are Cypress Creek and the Caloosahatchee Regional Park that includes picnic tables and hiking trails, offering you the opportunity to get the full outdoor experience in one trip.
Not far from the Alva Boat Ramp are the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, offering you a piece of Southwest Florida history. This is the perfect opportunity for visitors to take in some of the local history by viewing the historic homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford.

Davis Boat Ramp
The Davis Boat Ramp located in Fort Myers, FL. is approximately 30 feet wide, giving it the ability to accommodate most small to medium-sized vessels. This ramp gives boaters access to the Caloosahatchee River, a saltwater estuary spanning from Lake Okeechobee to the Gulf of Mexico. The river is known as one of the most popular amongst boaters because of its scenery and variety of marine wildlife that you have the chance to come close to when hanging out on the “Caloosahatchee.”

Parking:
All vehicles must pay a parking fee of $5 per day, per vehicle, to park onsite. Parking receipts must be clearly displayed on vehicle’s dashboard. Lee County Parking Stickers are accepted at this location. There are separate parking areas for vehicles with or without boat trailers.
Lavender’s Landing Boat Ramp
Lavender’s Landing Boat Ramp is located in Bokeelia FL. and gives boaters access to the Gret Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail. They have cottages available to rent and a ship store now open as well.
According to Wink News, Lavender’s Landing will soon be getting an upgrade as well as the Lee County Board of commissioners voted to increase the landing’s parking capacity and renovate the building interior of an office building located at the boat ramp. This renovation will also increase the capacity the park can hold with more available parking spots for the ramp. The renovations are expected to begin either in April or May 2024.

A two slip boat launching facility that offers 23 designated parking spaces for vehicles with trailers.
Matlacha Boat Ramp
Matlacha Boat Ramp is a perfect park and location to take the whole family. Along with a ramp to launch your day on the water, the nine-acre community park also features a community building, covered picnic tables, two pavilions, a playground for the kids, restrooms, basketball courts, a fishing pier, hiking paths, and benches.
Take the boat out and then picnic or grill-out with the family. There are two pavilions that you can rent out, one located by the playground, and one by the kayak launch. Both have a small grill and picnic tables. They are $25 per weekend and $15 per weekday.
Matlacha boat ramp gives you quick easy access to the Calusa Blueway and the Atlantic Ocean, a paddling trail, and kayak launch. It is ADA accessible and has 33 boat trailer parking spots available for any boat size that can fit on a trailer.

Pine Island Commercial Marina
Pine Island Commercial Marina is St. James City, FL.’s premier marina and boat ramp. It is located on the beautiful pine island sound and provides access to some of the best fishing, boating, and water sports opportunities in Southwest Florida. It includes upgraded amenities, including state-of-the art facilities that are open to everyone.
If you’re looking for a day on the water, but don’t have a boat, Pine Island Commercial Park also offers boat rentals, allowing you to still enjoy a day on the water, even without a vessel of your own. Rent a boat, drop it in for your offshore adventure, and return it when you’re done with it.

Salty Sam’s Marina
Voted the best Fort Myers Beach Marina, Salty Sam’s Marina offers you a place to store your boat and get it maintained, cleaned, and detailed. Onsite boat rentals are also available. Salty Sam’s is a full-service marina located a short distance east of the Fort Myers Beach bridge in the heart of Matanzas Bay. Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda Boat Ramps
Charlotte County beaches & boat ramps are pay to park. The cost is $0.75 per hour. If you have a State issued handicap permit (plate or placard), you may park for free at any Charlotte County operated beach, park, boat ramp or fishing pier, provided that the person who was issued the permit is present.
Laishley Park Boat Ramp
