More Details About Our New Space

Fishtale ExteriorOur brand-new facility represents more than $5 million in investment. We were looking for many years, and at the end of 2016, made the decision to move from Fort Myers Beach, to the central Fort Myers location based on a number of factors including:

  • The Economy
  • Company Direction
  • Better/Easier Access & Service to Customers

The 14,000-square-foot Fort Myers state-of-the-art sales and service center includes the latest technology for boat maintenance and repairs, including a new hydraulic trailer, forklift and hoist capable of lifting boats as long as 38 feet. Fish Tale has a partnership with Bonita Bay Marina for water access.

A new fleet of trucks and mobile vans can be dispatched to handle any job for dockside service at many marinas or to pick up boats. In total, the Frickes have invested an additional $500,000 in new equipment to service customer boats.

In addition, Fish Tale now employs 40 people, a 43% increase from the previous location on Fort Myers Beach. The in-house staff includes skilled marine technicians specializing in Yamaha engines, Garmin electronics, air conditioning systems, fiberglass, painting and plumbing.

Finally, we’re especially honored to have recently earned international recognition when Grady-White Boats announced Fish Tale Boats as the top-ranked dealer in the world for customer satisfaction. The North Carolina-based boat builder awarded Fish Tale the coveted Gold Anchor Award for Outstanding Customer Satisfaction. The award signifies that Fish Tale is the top-ranking dealer in customer-satisfaction index scores among all the Grady-White Boats dealers worldwide.
